Lucas Davenport has crossed paths with her before.

A rich psychopath he was never able to run to ground, Taryn Grant is now a US senator. Davenport is convinced that she’s responsible for three murders, though he’s never been able to prove it. But once a killer always a killer. Davenport figures he might be seeing Taryn Grant again.

And he’s right. A federal marshal now, with a very wide scope of investigation, he’s heard rumours that Grant has found her seat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, and the contacts she’s made from it, to be very……..useful. Going up against her again will be just as difficult as before, and considerably more dangerous.

But they have unfinished business, he and Grant. One way or the other, Lucas Davenport is going to see it through to the end.
