In The Corinthian, the bored high-society Corinthian Sir Richard Wyndham encounters the unconventional Penelope Creed who is escaping a forced marriage. He agrees to protect her, launching them into a series of ‘madcap adventures’ including theft, murder, mistaken identities and an escaped criminal, as Penelope tries to reunite with her childhood sweetheart.
