Fritz and Helen are looking forward to a nice, quiet vacation on Uncle Grigorian’s farm. But they are thrilled beyond their wildest dreams when Uncle Grigorian takes them, not out into the country, but seventeen light years out into space.
The twins have been chosen to resolve a dispute between powerful factions battling for control of the mysterious Worm Planet. Everyone agrees that only these innocent Earth children can be impartial enough to bring about a fair solution to the conflict, and so Grigorian endows them with special intuitive powers. As the fates of whole solar systems hang in the balance, the earthlings must uncover the secret motives of sinister rivals who will stop at nothing to ensure victory.
